How long until I receive my order?
It will normally take 2-5 days for you to receive your order, depending on the day and time you place your order. For example, an order placed on Saturday afternoon and an order placed on Monday morning will both ship out on Monday afternoon. Depending on where you live, the order will likely be delivered on Wednesday.
What is a Tincture?
A tincture is typically a concentrated extract of plant material dissolved in a solvent or carrier liquid. With hemp extracts from Tiki, tinctures include the phytocannabinoids (and possibly terpenes) from hemp, mixed with either MCT oil or hemp seed oil as a carrier. Since tinctures are concentrated extracts, the dropper helps to measure small amounts of the tincture, allowing for precision dosing. Sterilized dark amber glass bottles are classic tincture bottles. The dark glass helps protect the contents from ultraviolet light.
It is used orally (swallowed) and sublingually (under the tongue). When used sublingually, the extract can be absorbed directly into the bloodstream via capillaries found in tissues in the mouth. When consumed orally it must pass through the digestive system, so it takes longer to be absorbed, but it is absorbed via the stomach lining.
Does your product contain THC?
No. All of Tiki’s products are THC-free. At a technical level, however, zero of anything in a botanical extract is impossible. 'Non-detect' is more accurate from a scientific standpoint. THC levels in Tiki Biosciences' oils are so minuscule that they cannot be detected by the instruments of third-party labs. Tiki does not currently offer a Full Spectrum extract, which may legally contain up to 0.3% THC content.
What does Full/Broad/Narrow Spectrum mean?
The term 'full spectrum' refers to hemp extract products that contain the entire combination of cannabinoids, terpenes and other beneficial compounds found in the industrial hemp plant (including the THC cannabinoid). Broad spectrum means that one or more compounds has been removed. In Tiki’s case, THC is removed from our broad & narrow spectrum products. Tiki’s narrow spectrum has high CBD content and is THC-free, but doesn’t contain the terpenes found in our broad spectrum products. See more here
What kind of testing/analysis is performed on your products?
All of Tiki’s products go through a series of rigorous testing by internal and third-party labs to assure purity and concentrations of cannabinoids and other beneficial terpenes. This includes testing to verify that our products are free of THC and any potential contaminants. Test results for our products are included with each order and you can also find them here.
Where is your hemp grown?
Industrial hemp is like many other global crops. It is farmed all over the world and is now federally legal to grow in all 50 states. The registered phytocannabinoid-rich hemp used to produce Tiki’s products is grown in Colorado.
Is your product organic? Vegan friendly? Gluten-free?
Tiki’s products are grown using organic methods and contain other organically grown ingredients. Hemp, in general, has not been a USDA certified organic product, so Tiki is not claiming organic status.
Tiki’s tinctures are vegan friendly and gluten-free. Tiki’s soft gels are gluten-free, but not vegan.
Can I give my pet hemp extract?
Yes, hemp extract is safe for pets. We do recommend that you consult with a veterinarian who is familiar with your pet and knowledgeable in the use of hemp oil in pet health.

Phytocannabinoids can mimic neurotransmitters that we call endocannabinoids, which are produced naturally by our bodies.
What are Terpenes?
Terpenes are volatile organic molecules that evaporate easily and are likely the first thing you smell from plants and fruits. They are ubiquitous throughout the natural world. Produced by numerous plant species, terpenes are prevalent in fruits, herbs, vegetable, spices, and other botanicals. Terpenes are common ingredients in most diets and have generally been recognized as safe to consume by the US Food and Drug Administration.

With every order, we provide some guidelines to help you find your ideal CBD daily intake. Some people take half of a dropper in the morning and another half dropper before bed, while others prefer to take one 25mg soft gel per day. Others will take one soft gel per day and then supplement with a tincture as desired. Everyone is a bit different, but our advice - start with small doses and listen to your body. 15mg per day can be just as effective for one person as 35mg/day is for another person.

The FDA will be holding hearings this summer to clarify some of the undefined areas surrounding the new hemp industry. Does hemp extract interact with other medications?
Studies have shown that certain cannabinoids such as CBD may affect the metabolism of certain classes of drugs, but effects have been shown to be minimal. Have you ever been told by a doctor or pharmacist not to drink or eat grapefruit while taking a prescription medication? Grapefruit and CBD might have a similar effect on P450, an enzyme found in the liver, which metabolizes different kinds of medications in the human body. If taken in large doses, CBD could inhibit the metabolizing properties of P450, temporarily neutralizing the effects of other medicinal products in the body’s system.
The University of Indiana School of Medicine has put together a helpful chart for some drugs that might interact with CBD here
Much more research needs to be done in this area. If you are taking prescription medications, consult with a qualified medical professional.
How long will it take to feel effects from taking hemp oil?
In some cases, such as when using a sublingual tincture, users often report some results within 10-15 minutes. However, most of the effects of CBD are subtle and take some time.
